Midori Spring Premium Ceremonial Grade Matcha

Midori Spring Premium Ceremonial Grade Matcha
This item can be found here: www.midorispirng.com
Or Here on Amazon.
#midorispring

Do you like tea? More specifically green tea? Because if you do then you should give this a try. It is a Matcha tea made by Midori Springs. The company advertises that it is USDA Organic Certified, JAS Organic Certified, OU Kosher Certified, Vegan Certified.

I am super picky when it comes to tea. I cannot tell you how many different brands and flavors of tea I have been through. I typically will only have red raspberry leaf tea. BUT I have to honestly say that I was able to drink this specific tea without any problems. My first issue with tea is smell. If I cannot get past that then it is over and done with before the get go. Not the case here. The smell is very pleasant. It isn't like other teas that remind me of grass and twigs. The smell here is a very calming earthy green that does not have me wondering if I am about to taste bark and grass. Second texture. the Midori Spring Matcha tea passes that test as well. Third is flavor. And this is where I am most impressed. There is no awful after taste that I often find with other teas. It is a easy and smooth drink that has a bit of froth at the top when whisked. I actually like that bit of froth at the top.

If this is your first time drinking tea, please give it more than one shot. You will like it. Typical teas are brewed with water and a tea bag. This tea you mix right into the water. Because of this there is the froth at the top and it is not a "water thin" hot drink like typical teas. It has a slight thickness to it. This is one tea you will not be disappointed by. I was provided this tea at a discount in exchange for my honest review. My review is based on having the product in hand and actually using it.

Kids Hair Clippers

Gemtune HC-610 Rechargable Kids Hair Clipper, Without Oil

You can find this on Amazon Here.

This find right here.. you will want to RUN and get one. No joke either. I was HIGHLY impressed with these kids clippers. They come with everything.. minus the oil. But no really it seriously has everything you need. And this seller actually shipped their product with instructions! I know it sounds trivial to nit pick about people not sending things with instructions, but you know what? I don't like it. I hate having to guess about how to put something together or guess as to how it works. So like a 2 year old I will dig in my heels and give the stink eye to sellers who do not provide instructions with their products.

On to the product. What exactly is it and what does it come with?

It is a rechargeable cordless (works with the cord as well) children's hair clippers. It comes with a little bottle for oil, a little brush to remove hair, the clipper, blades, power/charging cable, instructions and 2 attachments that are double sided.

The clippers can be used with or without the cord. Great for little grabby hands while using it. The saving attachments are double sided. Which means it saves space. It is just about whisper quiet too. No really, it is. As I had finished cutting the hair of one child I was rounding up the next in line and the 2 year old grabbed it and managed to shave off a part of his hair. It was so quiet we never even noticed until later that night.

If you are looking for a good quality children's sized clippers then look no further. This really is a quality item. I was provided this product at a discount in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion. These are my opinions and experiences with the product.

Before and after right here. This was just before the little mishap above happened. Kids! Gotta love 'em.

Terry Treetop Saves The Dolphin

Terry Treetop Saves The Dolphin (Book #4)
by Tali Carmi

You can find the book & Kindle download Here.

I have had the pleasure of reviewing two children's books the past couple days. They are book 3 and 4 in the Terry Treetop series by Tali Carmi. I got this book on my iPad with the Kindle app.

This is a super cute and sweet short story. The story is about a boy and a pack of dolphins, with education and environmentalism all in one. The story like is very easy for children to follow along. I would say this is best for self readers of approximately 7 years of age. The story line is interesting and includes color pictures on each page. It is a surefire favorite to be among young readers, this one and the other short stories by the same author. I am going to be recommending this book in my next mommy group get together. I received this book at a discount in exchange or my review.

What does Amazon say?
"Teach your kids the value of environmental care. Take them on an adventure in a marine nature reserve. This is the fourth book in the Terry Treetop best sellers series. GYM FORCE #1 Protein Shaker Bottle

GYM FORCE #1 Protein Shaker Bottle | Weight Loss Diet BPA Free Bodybuilding Smart Shakers Quality Guaranteed with Travel Compartment Cup Stainless Steel Blender Ball

from GYM FORCE.
You can find this on Amazon Here.

Very nice and well thought out bottle. This is an all in one type deal here. You can store medications, and/or supplements in the pink compartment. The bottom can hold snacks or any other little thing you may need to carry with you while out and about. Such as nuts, trail mix, or an additional drink component.. like a flavor, or protein. There is also a strainer you can use to keep seeds out of your mouth when drinking. It also comes with the steel mixer and a clip. Like I said, it really is an all in one! The construction is very well thought out and the colors are pleasing. It is nice to not have a one solid colored bottle. The green and pink give it a splash of color that most other bottles do not have. It can also be used by both men and women as it is gender neutral. It really does not have to much insulation to keep cold drinks cold. So when you mix your drink plan to drink it then and not an hour from then. The sections screw together securely. No real cons to this bottle. Maybe include instructions with it. Detailing what the different parts are so people know how to use and wash them correctly. I received this product at a discount for my honest review.

Recently I was sent a bottle of Prenatal DHA supplements to try and review. I am still in the childbearing age, and am currently nursing my youngest. As well as pumping for the babies I donate milk to. DHA supplements are on the approved list of "medications and supplements" that are allowed by the milk bank. So I decided to give these a try. They arrived 2 days after ordering with some other amazon items. I started taking them the day I got them.

The capsules look like typical fish oil capsules, oval shaped and a straw or pale yellow in color. They are supposed to have a light lemon taste, but I didn't notice any taste or smell before consuming. The company guarantees no fishy burps or aftertaste, but I didn't find that to be true. BUT I will say that I did not follow their suggestions of taking the capsule with a meal. Their sales ad suggests taking the DHA capsule with a meal for increased absorption, although as a nurse (and mom) I know that taking it with a meal will also try and help to avoid the fishy burps and/or taste. I find for me that I generally and almost always take any pills and capsules alone. Not even with water at first. I've always done it that way. Not sure why.... must just be one of my quirks that makes me, me :) Even with saying that, there was only one time that I got the fishy aftertaste.

This product comes with 60 capsules. Which is enough for 2 months. The product claims "may help post natal depression" which would be awesome. I personally have not noticed any change, good or bad, in my moods. It could be that I would need to take the capsules for a longer time period to see any change. It is worth noting I am not depressed! I am simply saying the product has a potential mood claim, but I have not noticed any difference.

So what do I think? Well I think this is a quality product that is worth it for women. Pregnant and breastfeeding mothers could potentially benefit from the DHA support offered in this product. The pills are on the larger size but if taken with a drink you should not have too much of a problem swallowing them. As a nurse and a mom, I would recommend these. I have received this product at a discounted price for my honest and unbiased review.

Physical Therapy Bands

Exercise Resistance Bands for Physical Therapy
by Sport Fizi-Q

You may visit the Amazon page Here.

What do we have for our first review on this blog? We have ourselves 4 exercise/physical therapy bands. They vary in resistance. The pink "Flamingo" is the easiest. Followed by the yellow "Starfish", green "Butterfly" and red "Dragon." I'm not really sure just what to think about the names of the bands. I would think a butterfly would be more appropriate for the pink flamingo. In any case I suppose the names are a cute addition. The bands came with basic e-instructions that were emailed.

I like that the bands are color coded and have a dot system on them to identify their resistance levels. As a busy mom I really can't remember which color means what. I do like that they are not plane Jane boring and have that splash of color added. But the dot system, easy peasy, problem solved.

I did not like that they only came with e-instructions emailed. Which might honestly be a personal preference. I learn best by actually seeing something. It would have helped me to do the exercises based on reading and seeing a picture of the exercise described.

So how do they work? Not bad. I think they are a bit more appropriate for a physical therapy situation for strength building, rather than exercise. But if you are just starting an exercise program, then this might just be the thing for you. I would have to say these are for beginners or in addition to a routine. I didn't notice them to become stretched out over time/use which was something I was a little worried about when I first started out using them.

I personally got them so I could do some light exercises with my legs while at work. I've been having some swelling issues and I believe it is directly related to reduced movement through my shift. I have limited space to work with, and whatever I do it has to be quiet. The bands seemed to be the perfect solution. The pink is to easy for legs. I think the pink would be more for arm work. The yellow seemed to be a great starting point. Green was good for when I actually wanted to do some real exercises, and the red was my limit. Maybe after time I would use the red more, but for now I would stick to the yellow and green bands. Those two colors suited my needs the best with my noise and space limits. Also, I am a real sized person. Probably heavier than I should be, but that is my own struggle. Anyway, I also used the bands on different various areas of the body.. knee/thigh area, and found the bands rolled up onto themselves when used. After a few reps it started to dig into the skin. Because of that it is probably best to use the bands on non-squishy areas. Like in the ankle/calf area on the legs.

All in all I found the bands to be useful. I would recommend them to anyone who needs to build up some strength when starting an exercise routine or after an injury or surgery.
